Inspired by Fashion Weeks! September 23 2014, 0 Comments
September is the month for Fashion Weeks. New York starts it off, then London and Milan, and today is actually the kick off day in Paris. While we are still waiting to see what the gorgeous models will be wearing on the runways this week in Paris, we’ve already gotten a pretty good look at what to expect for Spring 2015.
- Midriff-baring crop tops. Yes, that trend from the 80s is making a comeback. And along with it, giving you yet another reason to hit the gym or lace up those running shoes. Just keep your workouts going this winter, and you won’t have to worry about getting into bikini/crop top shape. Or, I love Kelly Ripa’s take on the style. Wearing an off-white, boxy crop top one morning, she said she bought a bigger size to cover her stomach! We all know Kelly is tiny and the last person to have a stomach problem, but her idea works great for gals like me who do have a stomach issue!
- Head to toe white. Nothing makes a statement like wearing a solid color, and for spring and summer 2015 that color will be white. If you’re not ready for head to toe white, then pull out your classic white button down shirt, or borrow your husband/boyfriend’s. And of course, white shirts look great with all of our styles of Go Free Pants, as you see on our fabulous model.
- A new twist to pastels. Those pastels that are in your closet from last spring…don’t ditch them yet! They’re back on the runways again, but this time paired with bright colors, such as sunshine yellow or eye-popping tangerine.
- Comfortable shoes. Yay! I love a sexy pair of heels as much as the next girl, but honestly, who can wear those all day? This fashion week season, we saw more comfortable shoes on the runway, with flatter heels, including sandals, ballet flats and even sneakers.
There’s so much great fashion it’s hard to boil it all down into a few tips in anticipation of next spring/summer. For more of what’s going on in the fashion world, check out the Zoe Report, one of my favorite fashion blogs.
